The African Renewal Summit is an opportunity for nonprofit practitioners, African civic leaders and others to learn a new approach to improving life in communities in Africa using the CRI Community Renewal Model.

The 2010 African Renewal Summit will bring to Shreveport, La., participants from the United States, from Africa and from around the world. Participants will include community leaders, tribal chiefs, nonprofit professionals, researchers, students, leaders of religious organizations with African-outreach programs, foundations supporting projects in Africa, and many others.

An exciting service opportunity - building a better future: We are partnering with The Fuller Center for Housing to help build two houses in Shreveport for low-income families. Many of these houses have been built for Hurricane Katrina evacuees; others have been built for local families in need. The Pre-Summit Blitz Build is scheduled for March 15-21. Registration is only $25. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to participate. Housing: The Fuller Center for Housing has dormitory-style housing available at no cost, or if you prefer you may reserve a room at the Hilton at the Summit rate.  

To register for the African Summit and/or the Pre-Summit Blitz Build, please complete the registration form.  If you would like to mail or fax in your registration, you can do so by downloading a printable copy of the registration card.

The registration fee is $250. To make a safe and secure payment online, click on the Pay Now button at the bottom of this page. This takes you to the CRI PayPal page. This is not a donation to CRI and you are not asked to make a donation. We are just using the existing CRI account to make payment as simple and easy for you as possible. Just indicate on the confirmation page that this is for the African summit. Please contact us if you have any questions. You will receive a personal invitation letter after we receive your registration and payment.

Summit attendees are responsible for their transportation to Shreveport and accommodations. For hotel reservations, call 1-800-HILTONS or go to www.shreveport.hilton.com. Rooms are available at the Summit rate of $109 plus tax; reservations must be made by Feb. 26.
