Community Renewal named
Ambassador of the Year

The Shreveport-Bossier Chapter of the Sales and Marketing Executives International has honored Community Renewal International with its Ambassador of the Year Award. The presentation was made last night at the group's 50th Annual Distinguished Sales and Marketing Awards banquet.

"The thousands and thousands of lives positively impacted by the outreach of Community Renewal International is astounding. Because of their outstanding accomplishments, Shreveport-Bossier is fast becoming known as America's Caring Community," said Debra Lindsey, Distinguished Sales and Marketing Awards chairman.

Sales and Marketing Executives International is a worldwide organization dedicated to ethical standards, continuing professional development, knowledge sharing, mentoring students and advancing free enterprise.

Community Renewal International is a nonprofit effort to restore safe and healthy communities through caring relationships. Founded in 1994, Community Renewal reaches at-risk youth through Friendship Houses built in impoverished neighborhoods, strengthens education through the Adult Renewal Academy, partners with The Fuller Center for Housing and connects caring partners who turn their neighborhoods into safe havens of friendship and support.
